I purchased an expensive Swinging Egg Chair in Nov 2021, which now has rust pouring out of it. Contacted BB&B Customer Services & after prompting them for a response & 11 emails later, the Buyers decision was that it was out of the 1yr warranty & the care instructions advise that if left outside, rusting may occur. I never received either of these documents on purchase. Surely as this is an outdoor product & too large to transfer inside, it should be weatherproof. The Consumers Protection Act advises BB&B warranty cannot override the CP Act & therefore does not apply & that this expensive product must last a reasonable amount of time, which it hasn't.
They apologised profusely but this does not mean anything, when they refuse to compromise or negotiate with you, their procedure is very one sided. Their retail personnel are fantastic & knowledgeable but the company needs to re-evaluate their complaints procedure if they want to keep their loyal customers - one of which they have just lost.
